Sundodger 2012

Our Open team was mainly the Mixed team boys. They were playing in their
first college tournament. As the tournament went on, they got more comfortable, relaxed and started believing in themselves. They lost but had competitive games against Simon Frazier University and the University of Washington. They went on to beat Whitman College, Central Washington, Reed College and getting a default from the Gonzaga Alums.  It was great to see their confidence sky rocket with each win.

We weren’t going to send a girls team because we didn’t have enough players but we able to add 8 new players at the last second.  (2 of the girls we added were in the 8th grade) Please note: This team never practiced together.  It was simply amazing how they defeated University of British Columbia, University of Montana, Pacific Lutheran University, Reed College, University of Puget Sound and Simon Frazier University.  They finished in second place overall after falling to the University of British Columbia in a rematch in the finals. Congratulations ladies for an amazing finish!

The future looks very good for both teams.
